Freedom From Smoking Downtown Luncheon Clinic The American Lung Association in Indiana is hosting a Freedom From Smoking Clinic at the Indiana Chamber of Commerce offices in downtown Indianapolis. This is a pilot program, but we are really excited about this turning into a regular opportunity. Please feel free to forward this along to anyone you think may be interested in attending. The cost of the program is $125, which includes the participant workbook, 8 sessions of information, 8 lunches, and even coupons for discounts for nicotine replacement therapy medications. The clinic will be on Tuesdays, starting September 14th, and will run through late October (all dates are listed on the registration form). American Lung Association Golf Outing |

Tom Ewald Memorial Golf Outing Join the American Lung Association in Indiana for the 4th annual Golf Classic in honor of Tom Ewald. The event will be held on Monday, August 16th at The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Indiana. Registration begins at noon with a shotgun start at 12:45 pm. Pricing includes greens fees, cart rental, beverages, snacks, lunch, dinner, auction, hole games, and a chance to hit a $5,000 hole-in-one. Voted one of the Top 10 Best New Private Courses, The Sagamore Club is a champion golf course designed by PGA legend Jack Nicklaus. This private club is open to the public through participation at our event. All proceeds benefit the American Lung Association in Indiana. If you’re a prescribing clinician who treats patients with asthma, check out the new interactive Asthma Action Plan (iAAP) online at www.Asthma-iAAP.com. The iAAP easily assists you in quickly utilizing the EPR-3 asthma guidelines when making asthma management decisions. Built-in algorithms help you determine your patient’s control level and guideline based treatment. Age appropriate medication choices are offered according to control levels in a user friendly selection format. The application provides a printed action plan in English or Spanish, a printed prescription, and information on environmental triggers in English or Spanish. |
